SS Rotterdam – The SS Rotterdam on-the-waves Tour
The steamship Rotterdam is the fifth ship of that name which was taken into service by the Holland America Line. It is the biggest passenger ship ever to have been built in the Netherlands and serves as a showpiece of Dutch workmanship in naval construction. The tour will take you to the bow and bridge, the pilot house and gives you a sneak peek of areas normally out of bounds to the public. The sports decks, which are higher up, and the stern offer you fantastic views. Have a look in the chart room, the control room and the captain’s cabin.
The Euromast
The Euromast was built in honour of the first World Flower exhibition the Floriade, by architect H.A. Masking and contractor J.P. van Eastern. Queen Beatrix led the festive opening ceremony. The 100 m high mast (imitating the mast of a ship) was the first Dutch attraction at great height. In 1970 a separate tower, the Euroscoop, was placed on top extending the mast to 185 meters, making it once again Rotterdam’s highest building up until today.

In this adventure park you get around by using ropes, ladders, bridges and zip lining through the forest. The adventure park has 7 courses ranging between 4 and 15 meters above the ground. The different levels of difficulty per course make it possible for all ages to participate. The 3-hour climbing session includes safety instructions. While climbing, you will be obliged to wear a safety harness and a helmet.
