River Cruise and Windmills Tour
On this boat tour we will visit windmills and old boat sluices and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We follow the river Rotte from which Rotterdam got it’s name. We’ll start the River Cruise and Windmills Tour in the centre of Rotterdam with a drink at a local coffee house. From here we go by boat and will pass the neighbourhoods Noord, Crooswijk and Hilligersberg.
On our way to the Molenviergang in Zevenhuizen we will make a stop to see the first windmill and an old Dutch boat sluice. Enjoy the quiet surrounding just north of Rotterdam. We will also visit four windmills at Molenviergang Zevenhuizen. These windmills are important for the water management of the river Rotte and the 4,5 meters higher river Meas.
Unfortunately we can not enter the windmills but we can get really close. A sandwich and 3 refreshments are included in the price.
